This policy explains what personal information MOTION collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. MOTION is a brand and web design studio ("MOTION", "we", "us"). We are responsible for the personal information described here. You can reach us about privacy at team@builtbymotion.com.
The short version. We only collect the details you choose to share with us, mainly through our booking form, and we use them to reply to you, schedule your call, and deliver our work. We do not sell your data. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete it at any time.
When you submit the booking form on our homepage to request a free strategy call, we collect the details you enter: first name, last name, email, company, current website, monthly revenue range, the services you need, and your project details. If you email us or speak with us afterwards, we also keep what you share in that correspondence.
Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you view. These logs help keep the site secure and running. When you open the booking calendar, it loads inside a Cal.com widget that may set its own cookies so the scheduler can work.
We do not run advertising pixels, and at this time we do not use third-party marketing analytics. If that changes, we will update this policy first.
The site itself relies only on cookies that are strictly necessary to load and function. The embedded Cal.com booking calendar may set additional cookies when you open it, which are governed by Cal.com's own privacy policy. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings, though the booking calendar may not work fully if you do.
We keep your information for as long as we need it for the purposes above. If you submit the booking form but we do not end up working together, we keep your details until you ask us to delete them or they are no longer relevant to us. If we do work together, we keep client records for the life of the engagement and for as long as we are required to afterwards for tax, accounting, and legal reasons. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, and we will do so unless we are required to keep it.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for advertising. We use a small number of trusted service providers ("subprocessors") who handle data on our behalf so we can run the business:
We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights, or as part of a business sale or reorganisation. Any new party would be bound to handle your data consistently with this policy.
We are based in the United States, and our service providers process and store data in the United States. If you contact us from another country, your information will be transferred to and handled in the US under this policy.
Wherever you live, you can ask us to access the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, receive a copy, object to certain uses, or withdraw consent where we relied on it. To make a request, email team@builtbymotion.com. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.
If you are a California resident, the CCPA and CPRA give you the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion or correction, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. If you are a Nevada resident, you have the right to opt out of the sale of certain personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
You are welcome to contact us, and we will honour access, correction, and deletion requests wherever you live. If you are in a region with its own data protection laws, such as the EU, EEA, or UK, you may have additional rights under local law. Contact us and we will help.
Our site and services are intended for adults and businesses. They are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we will delete it.
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, and we work with providers who do the same. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we act quickly if something goes wrong.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of the page. If the changes are significant, we will make that clear. Your continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
